The Eredivisie champions are expected to lose Nicolas Isimat-Mirin this summer with Besiktas closely following the Frenchman who has one-year left on his contract.
PSV have prepared for losing Isimat-Mirin by bringing in Australian centre-back Trent Sainsbury, who was a free agent after leaving Chinese side Jiangsu Suning. The 26-year-old, who worked with Mark van Bommel in his time as Australia’s national team assistant manager, has signed a three-year deal with PSV.
Sainsbury has previously played in the Eredivisie with PEC Zwolle before joining Jiangsu Suning in 2016. He then had loan spells with Inter Milan and Grasshoppers.
