According to Voetbal International, PSV Eindhoven are hoping to sign AZ Alkmaar’s versatile defender Derrick Luckassen.

PSV are on the lookout for defensive recruits with Hector Moreno now at Roma, while Jetro Willems and Santiago Arias are both set to depart in the coming weeks.

According to Voetbal International, PSV are hoping to do a quick deal for Luckassen, who wants to relocate to the Philips Stadion. AZ are also reportedly open to the deal, with Luckassen’s contract ending next summer, although they do have the option to extend.

The 21-year-old is primarily a centre-back, but has played several times for AZ at both right-back and defensive midfield. Hos versatility makes the Netherlands U21 international an interesting option for Phillip Cocu to have at his disposal.
