isimitPSV were determined to sign a new centre back to challenge Jeffrey Bruma and Karim Rekik this season, and today they confirmed the signing of Isimat-Mirin until the end of the season.

The 22-year old made 79 league appearances for Valenciennes before joining Monaco in 2013, but the French U21 international has failed to break into the first team at Stade Louis II, playing only six times in Ligue 1.

Speaking to the PSV official website Isimat-Mirin said, “I’m very happy with this opportunity. PSV is a big club in Europe with a rich history and Phillip Cocu a very well known trainer.Furthermore, there is a strong quality selection, young, but with a lot of quality. I will do everything to succeed here and for the team.”

The deal concludes PSV’s activity in the summer transfer window with Phillip Cocu adding five players to his first team including Luuk de Jong, Andres Guardado, and Karim Rekik.
