Why, when the Oranje is just starting to get its mojo back, would you bring in De Boer?
Terrible decision.
This could end up a shambles.
What if Van Dijk doesn’t agree with De Boer on something?
Who are the other players going to take their lead from?
What if things are left to fester.
Worse decision since Cruyff wasn’t given the job in 1990. And we know what happened then.
Should have been Guilit or Rikjaard
Very puzzling decision. I know people might say he had success domestically despite his failures abroad, but winning the Eredivisie with Ajax is far from the toughest task in football.
Having said that, the players now are much better than during the Blind / Hiddink era, so I don’t think we’ll see a decline as we did from 2015-18. But going far in the Euros with FDB? I highly doubt it.
PS – if he picks Klaassen I will pull my hair out, his performances in the 2018 WCQ were BEYOND awful.
