van gaal abNetherlands were drawn into pot B, and will face holder’s Spain, South American side Chile, and Australia when the World Cup gets underway next summer in Brazil.

Here is the reaction to the draw:

Louis van Gaal told NIS, “You cannot do anything, it just happens,”

“We are playing against the world champions (Spain), against Australia, who we have never won against, and Chile who are not a bad team.”In terms of circumstances, it’s okay, but you assume that you get through the group, then you come against a team from Brazil’s group.”

Dutch winger Arjen Robben told NOS, “Spain and Chile are two strong opponents. On paper, Australia is maybe the weaker one but you still have to win that match,”

“If we pass the group we will challenge the group of Brazil. I think Brazil is the top favorite so we hope to avoid them. We must end first.”

Former Netherlands international Ruud Gullit had a warning for the Dutch, “After the match against Spain we cannot think we have already played the hardest opponent. Please do not underestimate Chile. They are a very strong team.”

Manchester United forward Robin van Persie wants revenge after losing the 2010 World Cup final to Spain in South Africa.

He said, “I love the fact that at the first opportunity we immediately get the chance to make amends. After that match we immediately know where we stand. ”

Feyenoord defender Bruno Martins Indi, “Spain won the previous tournament and has a good team, but I do not think we have a chance against them.”
