The American side made an initial offer for the Slovakian youngster on Wednesday and a deal has now been agreed with Groningen. The 22-year-old must now come to terms with Real Salt Lake, but Fox Sports believe Rusnak will sign a two or three-year contract.
Rusnak joined Groningen from Manchester City in the summer of 2015. He made 76 appearances in the Eredivisie, scoring twelve times. Rusnak also netted twice as Groningen beat PEC Zwolle in the KNVB Cup final last year.
