Netherlands U17’s began their quest to reach next years European Championship with a comfortable 3-1 victory over Kosovo.

Chelsea striker Daishawn Redan returned to the U17 squad after missing last summer’s European Championship and he opened the scoring after only 11 minutes. However, Kosovo responded immediately through Albin Prapashtica.

Redan burst through the Kosovo defence on 23 minutes and netted his second goal of the game to restore Netherlands lead, and the forward eventually sealed his hat-trick and the victory in the second half with a close range finish.

Netherlands now face Hungary in on Friday before a tie with Wales on Monday.
