rekik adeYesterday it was revealed that PSV had agreed terms with the young Dutchman over a second successive season on loan at the club, and although a deal is yet to be made with Manchester City, talks are ongoing.

With Manchester City signing Elaquim Mangala from Porto, it seems Rekik will not get the twenty games he requested to stay with the club, and will get his wish to be loaned out again.

While the 19-year-old will  be disappointed not to get playing time in the Premier League, he is still a teenager, and has plenty of time to make a name for himself in Manchester. For now, his continued development with PSV, where he formed a fantastic central defensive partnership with former Premier League man Jeffery Bruma, is best.

Head coach Philip Cocu and the rest of the PSV management team will be delighted to have the young Dutchman back in their squad, as they look to win their first Eredivisie title in seven seasons.

I'm a digital/social marketer out of Chicago. I grew up loving Dutch football - total football is the only way to play. I support PSV in the Eredivisie, and whatever team has the most Dutch guys on it in any other league. Hup Holland Hup!
