According to De Telegraaf, Stade Rennes have lodged a €20 million offer for Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez.

The Ligue 1 side have been linked with the Mexican midfielder all summer but Marc Overmars has previously stated that Alvarez is not for sale.
Stade Rennes is not giving up with De Telegraaf reporting that a €20 million offer has been lodged with Ajax. The deal would also include a resale percentage.
It remains to be seen whether Ajax is willing to accept the new bid for a player they signed for €15 million back in 2019. Alvarez has a contract with Ajax until 2024.
Marc Overmars reportedly wants to raise €50 million in transfer fees this summer but only €31 million has come through so far with the departures of Razvan Marin, Lassina Traoré, Noa Lang and Kjell Scherpen.
