Van Wolfswinkel received a yellow card during the defeat meaning he will miss the Vitesse v Feyenoord league game next Sunday 23rd April. However, he will eligible to play for Vitesse in the KNVB Cup final on 30th April against AZ Alkmaar.

The striker said, ”Tonight was a really frustrating match for the team but also for me personally. Our attitude as not good. Normally we have a lot of quality and we could not show that during the game.

”In previous weeks we have played really well and we know that we are team that cannot play games at only 60 percent of our ability. We must give 100 percent every game and we did not do that tonight.”

van Wolfswinkel also elaborated on the yellow card that he received that means that he is not eligible to play in Vitesse Arnhem’s next league game against Feyenoord next Sunday, ”I received an elbow to my head and reacted and therefore received a yellow card and I will miss Feyenoord at home next week ”.

”It’s frustrating to now have to wait two weeks to play my next game for Vitesse Arnhem but I am professional enough to accept it. I have enough to do within the two weeks training wise. I intend to approach the KNVB Cup final in good spirits.”
