De Ridder has been a free agent since leaving Heerenveen in the summer, after the winger struggled with a neck injury which restricted him to only 13 games last season.
The 29-year-old has featured for a number of clubs since leaving Ajax in 2005 for Celta Vigo including English sides Wigan Athletic, and Birmingham City, whilst De Ridder also had a short spell in Switzerland with Grasshopper.
RKC are currently sitting 15th in the Eredivisie table, and the club will be hoping the signing of De Ridder can solve the injury problem which currently hits their wingers.
RKC’s technical manager Janus van Gelder told the official site after the signing, “We are very pleased with the arrival of Daniel. He’s at his best on the flanks and we currently need cover in that position as we have injury problems.
“What really appeals to us all is the drive that Daniel has. He wants to be in Holland to show what he can do.
“We offer him a stage here and in this way we hope to work together in the coming months.”
