With earlier results in the weekend not going their way, RKC Waalwijk started the game with PSV bottom of the table. However a double from Evander Sno gave them a battling win over a totally dominant PSV side, who were made to rue missed chances.
In the first half, PSV were completely dominant, with Memphis Depay coming close to opening the scoring with a chipped effort that came off the bar. RKC were pushed back into their own half for most of the opening 45 minutes, but had a good chance when Damaino Schet was played through on goal, but Jeroen Zoet pulled off a good save.
On 54 minutes RKC took the lead totally against the run off play, as PSV stood off Aureliem Joachim, the forward played a ball through to Schet, who held off a feeble challenge to set Evander Sno clear on the right hand side of the box, and the midfielder fired through Zoet’s legs.
PSV threw everything at the RKC goal, with Memphis Depay firing over from yards out, while Jan Seda made a decent save from Jurgen Locadia’s low effort.
As the away side pushed forward in injury time they were hit on the counter attack, and Evander Sno netted his second with a terrific finish on the edge of the box.
Another embarrassing performance by Cocu’s men who dominated from start to finish but could not net with one of their 27 attempts on goal. On the other hand it was a great defensive performance by RKC and they climb off the bottom of the table to move up to 14th.
Poor poor game by psv even though they dominated most of it there finishing was piss poor. Locadia needs to learn to shoot on target.
