rkc abThe first chance of the game fell to Robert Braber of RKC, who fired straight at Jelle Ten Rouwelaar from the edge of the box.

On seven minutes the home side took the lead, when a free kick from the left hand side was headed in at the front post by Kenny van Hoevelen.

RKC continued to pressure, and made it 2-0 on 15 minutes from the penalty spot after Braber was fouled, with Sander Duits keeping calm from 16 yards.

Ten minutes later a ball across the box by Romeo Castelen was stabbed into his own net by Sepp de Roover to make it 3-0 to the rampant hosts.

NAC struggled to create any chances, with a Sarpong free kick which was punched away the closest they came to a goal in the first half.

In the second half, RKC were awarded another penalty when Castelen was fouled, by Ten Rouwelaar saved Duits effort.

Kenny van Hoevelen was then sent off with 15 minutes to go, but it did not help NEC get back into the match.

It was a fantastic performance by RKC, and NAC have Ten Rouwelaar to thank for keeping the score down, with the win enough to lift the home side of the bottom.
