If Arjen Robben fails to agree a new deal with Bayern Munich the winger may be tempted into a move to Qatar according to reports on Saturday.

Reports in Germany earlier this week claimed that Robben wants to remain at Bayern after his deal ends in the summer but the Bavarian giants have doubts about the veteran’s role at the club.

News agency Reuters is reporting on Saturday that rumours in the middle east are claiming that Robben could now follow Wesley Sneijder to Qatar with an unnamed club ready with a deal. Sneijder left OGC Nice for Al-Gharafa in January.

Robben hasn’t been guaranteed a starting spot since Jupp Heynckes took charge at Bayern and he was irritated after starting the midweek Champions League tie with Besiktas on the bench.

The 34-year-old has also been linked with China or a move back to Groningen but may decide to accept a lucrative contract from Qatar, should he fail to agree terms in Germany.
