Peter Bosz went into the game under pressure with his Dortmund side only winning once in their last six games. However, Bayern Munich proved too strong with Robben playing a vital role.
The winger netted the opening goal in the 17th minute with a fantastic strike which saw the former Dutch international break two records. Robben’s 93rd goal for Bayern means he is now the top scoring Dutchman in the Bundesliga and also the top scoring foreigner for Bayern Munich.
Goals from Robert Lewandowski and David Alaba then made it 3-0 for Bayern before Marc Bartra pulled back a consolation for Dortmund late on.
Borussia Dortmund now slip to third while Bayern Munich takes top spot.
