robben ned inThe winger has been out since suffering injury during Netherlands 1-0 loss to Iceland earlier this month, but Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola recently stated the Dutchman could make a quick comeback.

However Robben doesn’t want to risk returning too soon and believes he will not be in the line up when Bayern Munich face Borussia Dortmund this weekend.

Robben told Radio 538, “My situation is improving, but I am still not at 100 per cent yet.”

“I have done a lot of running and i am not yet engaged with the ball. It is now building up to a particular condition. The recovery process is going well, but it still takes time. I do not want to take risks and get a setback.”

The Netherlands captain could not hide his frustration at the injury, “It is ridiculous really.”

“The most frustrating thing is that I do everything within my powers to be in the best shape possible.

“Things were going really well for me. I had not been injured for two years or so. And now all of a sudden I sustain three injuries in a row again.”

Asked whether he would face Kazakhstan on the 10th of October with Netherlands, he responded, “October 10? Realistically, it will be very difficult. “
