Arjen Robben has put pen-to-paper on a new deal with Bayern Munich until 2018.

The winger’s deal with the Bundesliga giants expired in the summer and despite months of talks no agreement had been reached until Monday. Bayern Munich announced that Robben has extended his contract with the club for another year.

Bayern Munich’s executive board chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told the clubs official website, “In his position Arjen is one of the best players in the world.

“He’s been here for almost eight years and has become a key part of the club.”

Robben signed for Bayern Munich from Real Madrid in 2009 and has scored  82 goals in 152 Bundesliga matches.
