FC Twente are up to fifth after a simple 3-0 win at Roda JC.

Roda JC went into the game on the back of two straight home wins and they began confidently with Mitchell Paulissen forcing Nick Marsman into a good save, while Dani Schahin also went close.

However, on the half-hour mark it was Twente who took the lead when Fredrik Jensen shrugged off a poor challenge from Frederic Ananou before slotting the ball into the bottom corner. The Finn then made it 2-0 before the break with a simple finish from close range after the ball fell at his feet in the area.

Roda JC tried to mount a comeback in the second half but Enes Unal made sure of Twente’s victory on 77 minutes with a cool finish inside the box.

Twente now move up to fifth and level on points with Utrecht, while Roda JC remain 16th.
