De Graafschap are still searching for their first point of the season after a 1-0 defeat to Roda JC in Kerkrade.

The battle of the two promoted sides started in the favour of the home side with Edwin Gyasi twice denied by Hidde Jurjus, while Hicham Faik struck the post with a free kick.
Eventually the pressure took its toll with Anco Jansen sending Tom van Hyfte through on the right hand side of the box, and the midfielder squeezed a shot past Jurjus at his near post.
After the break De Graafschap pushed forward to try and find an equaliser, but the Roda JC defence held firm to seal the three points. The win puts Roda JC up to third temporarily, while De Graafschap remain the only team in the league without a point.
