Roda JC punished a wasteful Go Ahead Eagles in Kerkrade to move themselves away from the drop zone.

The visitors form had improved in recent weeks and with confidence they had the better of the first half in Kerkrade with Elvis Manu and Xandro Schenk missing decent chance in a goalless first half.
In the 58th minute Sam Hendriks was presented with an excellent chance to open the scoring when he controlled Daniel Crowley’s cross around two yards from goal. However, despite having an empty net in front of him the striker somehow failed to convert and was left red-faced as the ball trickled wide.
Ten minutes later, Roda JC made Go Ahead Eagles pay when they netted the winning goal. A free kick found an unmarked Christian Kum in the box and the defender controlled his finish from a few yards out.
The win lifts Roda JC up to 14th while Go Ahead Eagles are 16th.
