Feyenoord moved to within four points of leaders Ajax with a 2-1 win over Roda JC on Tuesday night.

The away side started on top, and took the lead on 12 minutes with Lex Immers firing a low shot into the bottom corner from the right hand side of the box.
Jean Paul Boetius had an excellent chance to make it 2-0 on 25 minutes but after being played through on goal, the winger could only fire into the side netting. Ten minutes later Feyenoord came close once again with Stefan de Vrij hitting the bar with a header from a corner.
Just before the break, Feyenoord finally made it 2-0 when Lex Immers saw his shot parried from Filip Kurto, but Samuel Armenteros was on hand to tap in from close range.
In the second half Roda JC improved, and got the chance to get back into the game on 76 minutes when Lex Immers gave away a penalty. Anouar Kali made no mistake from the spot to make it 2-1.
Feyenoord held on for the last ten minutes to claim all three points, and move to within four points of Ajax at the top. Roda JC remain in the bottom three in 16th.
