Roma has been heavily linked with Ziyech this summer and were said to be close to reaching an agreement with Ajax on a €20 million deal.

However, the Italian side is now having second thoughts and are instead close to signing PSG midfielder Javier Pastore. Ziyech’s management is now looking at other options.

Calciomercato is reporting that both Liverpool and Olympique Lyon are in talks with Ziyech’s representatives. Liverpool are looking for an attacking midfielder having seen a deal for Lyon’s Nabil Fekir break down. Lyon still expects Fekir to go and see Ziyech as his replacement.

Ziyech himself won’t discuss a transfer until after Morocco’s final World Cup game against Spain on Monday.
