r and bFeyenoord were disappointing throughout the clash in Waalwijk, and were shocked in the 92nd minute, as Aurelien Joachim hit the winner for RKC.

RKC, managed by Ronald Koeman’s brother Erwin, are currently sitting 2nd bottom of the Eredivisie, and Feyenoord were expected to win comfortably.

After the game, Koeman’s wife Bartina took to Twitter to defend her husband, responding to a Feyenoord fan account, who wrote an open letter to the players earlier in the day.

She said, “It’s never good!! Or my husband is too strict .. and now he needs a bat through the locker room.”

Various media outlets including De Telegraaf questioned earlier today whether Koeman will still be at the club next summer, after being linked with the Netherlands national team.

Ronald himself then took to Twitter to rubbish any rumours that his time at Feyenoord is coming to an end, and reiterated his loyalty to the club.

His statement read, “Many media messages read” Koeman ready at Feyenoord. Until the last day I’ll do anything for this great club!”
