The Portugal coach stated that he is unsure on what to expect from Netherlands after their change of manager and formation.
Santos said, ”In the past, I could have told you more about the Dutch national team but now it is difficult to predict who is going to play.
”But that is normal because the Dutch national team are now in a transitional phase with a new manager, new strategy and new faces.
”We have only analysed their friendly match against England in Amsterdam last Friday and they start with a 3-4-3 formation but that changes during the match. We do not know if they are going to continue with this or if they are going to try something different.
”We are used to seeing the Netherlands reach major tournaments and it will be strange that they will not be in Russia this summer but the Dutch national team are still a strong opponent and that is what we wanted to play a friendly against a strong opponent. ”
