After one year away, Mustafa Saymak has rejoined PEC Zwolle on a three-year deal.

The midfielder came through the PEC Zwolle academy and made 169 appearances for the club before departing last summer for Turkish side Rizespor.

After a disappointing season in Turkey, Saymak has now returned to PEC Zwolle signing a three-year contract.

He told the club’s website, “My adventure in Turkey has not quite turned out to be what I had hoped for and therefore it feels all the better to return to Zwolle. Here I know the club, the employees, the supporters and I know that I can get the best out of myself and be of value.

“In the past year I have followed almost all PEC Zwolle matches from Turkey. Now I am very happy to be part of this beautiful club again. I can’t wait to be back on the pitch for the first time.”
