According to De Telegraaf,  the 30-year-old Danish midfielder whose current deal expires at the end of the season, has spoken to the club in positive terms but has asked for some time to decide.

Schone was a key figure in an first Ajax win away at Utrecht since 2009 in the last round of fixtures, a missed penalty was soon forgotten as the Dane hit a spectacular winner as Ajax keep the pressure on Feyenoord.

The Danish international who was the subject of interest from Fenerbache last month, joined the Amsterdam club from NEC in 2012 and has made almost 130 appearances for them.
