This season has been the worst for Ajax since Frank de Boer took charge in 2010, with the coach set to miss out on silverware for the first time, as PSV look set to snatch their Eredivisie title, while they are out of the KNVB Cup and Europe.
De Boer is set to look to the transfer window to strengthen his squad this summer as he looks to change their fortunes, with AZ Alkmaar midfielder Nemanja Gudelj heavily linked to the Amsterdam side today, while signing a wing back, centre back, winger and striker are also priority’s for director Marc Overmars.
However several players will also be on their way out of the Amsterdam Arena, with Niklas Moisander already confirmed to be signing for Sampdoria, while loan flop Niki Zimling will return to parent club Mainz.
According to De Telegraaf Ajax are also willing to listen to offers for centre back Mike van der Hoorn, striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson, and midfielder Lerin Duarte, who is currently on loan with Heerenveen. Captain Nicolai Boilesen has also failed to impress this season, and after stating he is interested in a new challenge, the left back could also be heading for the exit door.
