Dutch national team striker Shanice van der Sanden spoke to the NOS after the Netherlands were crowned European Champions by defeating Denmark 4-2 in the final in Enschede.

van der Sanden said, ”We are European Champions. We gave everything tonight. I must compliment our supporters. This is the dream of all of us.
”I thought it was a tense final and we went 1-0 down after 6 minutes. It was 2-2 a half time. We spoke at half time about going for it in the second half.
”I thought we were the better team in the second half. I am so proud of all my teammates ”.
