Dutch coach Jos Luhukay took over at the Championship side earlier this month and it appears his first signing at the club could be Pelupessy.

The defensive midfielder was recently linked with a move to MLS side New York City, but Heracles blocked the move and stated he was not for sale. However, with Pelupessy out of contract in six months, things appear to have changed and Heracles are in talks with Sheffield Wednesday over a deal for their captain.

The 24-year-old started his career with FC Twente but only made three league appearances for the Tukkers before joining Heracles in 2014. He has since made 107 Eredivisie appearances in Almelo, scoring three times.
