According to Catalan journalist Oriol Domènech, Marc Overmars will leave his role as Director of Football Affairs with Ajax this summer.

Overmars has been with Ajax for nine years in a director role, and remained at the club despite links with Arsenal and Manchester United.
Speaking to Esport3, Domenech said, “It’s a personal decision. He believes that his cycle at Ajax comes to an end.”
With Barcelona’s presidential elections going on, Overmars could be linked with a position at his former club. However, Domenech says there is no contact at the moment with Barcelona, “Despite his Barça past, no candidate for president has made contact at the moment.”
