Kaj Sierhuis is hoping to make a big impact at Stade Reims and is dreaming of a move to Liverpool.

The 21-year-old striker joined Stade Reims in January after cutting short his loan at Groningen from Ajax. However, his debut did not go to plan as he suffered an injury, which has ruled him out since. Then the corona virus outbreak struck, and football is in lockdown.

Speaking to Fox Sports, Sierhuis said on his time in France before the corona virus outbreak, “I had just settled in, found my spot and then this crisis came.

“I felt welcome in the group, it is a really nice group of boys. The French still have some difficulties with the pronunciation of my name and when my name was announced in the stadium, I didn’t even recognise my own name, haha.”

Sierhuis wants to impress in France but his dream is a transfer to the English Premier League and Liverpool, “The Premier League has been a dream all my life. I love the English football culture, the full stadiums and the experience of a day going to football is the best thing there is. Liverpool has been my favourite club since childhood. It will be a dream to ever earn that.”
