PSV Eindhoven have snapped up the Danish international on a free transfer, with Poulsen’s contract at AZ Alkmaar ending this summer.
This signing is a signal that current left-back Jetro Willems could be on his way out of Eindhoven this summer, but Poulsen’s arrival may just be as a replacement for the released Abel Tamata.
Poulsen is currently in his second stint with AZ, playing with them for 4 seasons before switching to Italian side Sampdoria, to return just one and a half seasons later. Poulsen has 29 caps for the Danish senior team, and played for the side the Dutch beat in the 2010 World Cup.
