Wesley Sneijder will pull on an Oranje shirt for the final time against Peru next week and he is excited about playing with the new generation of Netherlands talents.

The Netherlands record cap holder will make his 134 and final Oranje appearance when Netherlands host Peru in Amsterdam and he is excited about four particular youngsters.

He told De Telegraaf, “I think it’s nice to be on the field on Thursday. With the new generation, young players like Matthijs de Ligt, Frenkie de Jong, Donny van de Beek and Justin Kluivert.

“They have made great strides in the past month and have – or in the case of Justin – shown to be constant factors at Ajax, and these guys deserve a place with the Dutch team, and I like their way of playing: always first ahead.

“Matthijs, Frenkie Donny and Justin are boys who become very important for the future of the Dutch national team and Frenkie is there for the first time against Peru and me for the last time. “
