The midfielder struggled to impose himself in the Premier League after joining Manchester United from Ajax last summer.
However, over the past few months, Van de Beek has worked hard in the gym to add more muscle ahead of the new campaign.
In a Q&A session recorded by Manchester Evening News, Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes said, “Yes, he works hard at the gym. He’s one of the quality players we have and he’s working hard to get stronger.”
Solskjaer also complimented Van de Beek, “He has become a bit stronger indeed. Last season he was able to learn how English football works and he took that to heart in the summer. Some players who come here from abroad need time and for some that is a year.”
Wishing Donny the best, like Frenkie, Matthijs Memphis, Virgil… these are some positive, hard working Dutch players along with others abroad that give a positive face to the rich footballers coming out of Nederland!
