Feyenoord captain Clasie and 20-year-0ld Vihena starred for Koeman when he was in charge at De Kuip, and after already raiding his former club for Graziano Pelle last summer, the Saints boss is hoping to be reunited with the duo.
Speaking to Voetbal International, Koeman said on the 23-year old Clasie, “I am very fond of him.
“He is on our list.”
Koeman added on Vilhena, who he failed to sign at the end of the January transfer window, “I dared to have Tonny. I know him well and I know what he can do”
“In addition, we do have have a left-footed midfielder in our squad and we could use a type like him.”
Clasie has made 133 appearances for Feyenoord and has 11 caps for Netherlands, while Vilhena has appeared 96 times for the Rotterdam side.
Rumours abound that Martin van Geel is looking for EUR 13.5m for Jordy Clasie. If he accepts this level there will be some very angry Feijenoorders.
Clasie should be going for EUR 20m +. Anything less would be a disgrace, particularly given the time left on his contract.
It’s about time Dutch clubs started putting up more of a fight for their best players to earn more money from deals like this. Feyenoord deserve something closer to what you were mentioning.
