pelle 4Pelle becomes the first Feyenoord star to join former coach Ronald Koeman at Saint Mary’s with the Premier League side believed to have paid €10 million for the Italian.

The striker who previously played for the likes of Lecce and AZ Alkmaar was a revelation ever since joining Feyenoord from Parma initially on loan in 2012. Pelle netted 29 goals in 33 appearances during his first season before Feyenoord made the deal permanent.

Last season, Pelle netted 26 goals, while also being named captain of the Rotterdam club before disciplinary issues saw the armband stripped from him by Koeman.

Tall, strong, and a deadly finisher, Pelle became a fans favourite in his two-years at Feyenoord and is set to be sorely missed by all their fans. It is believed that Feyenoord are looking to sign Bas Dost on loan from Wolfsburg as Pelle’s immediate replacement.
