A late Loris Brogno penalty was enough for Sparta Rotterdam to beat Go Ahead Eagles and record their second win of the season.

go spaThe home side looked confident after their win over PEC Zwolle last week, but despite their dominance they struggled to find the opening goal in the first half. Zakaria El Azzouzi was a constant threat for Sparta and he came the closest before half time with a strike that came back off the post.

Go Ahead Eagles defended admirably in the second half, but five minutes before the end Sander Fischer floored Loris Brogno in the box and the Sparta midfielder picked himself up to net the winner from the spot.

The victory moves Sparta into the top six, while Go Ahead stay on one point after three games.
