Sparta Rotterdam have confirmed the signing of Dabney Dos Santos on loan from AZ Alkmaar.

The winger has a contract with AZ Alkmaar until 2019 but has only made eight appearances in the Eredivisie this season scoring once. The club let Dos Santos know last month that he was free to leave on loan in January and on Thursday, Sparta Rotterdam confirmed his signing until the end of the season.
Dos Santos now joins up with his former AZ coach Dick Advocaat at Sparta, becoming the coach’s first signing since he took charge two weeks ago.
The 21-year-old, who made 119 appearances for AZ, now has the task of helping Sparta stay up in the Eredivisie. The Rotterdammers currently sit 17th in the table.
