boetius dcAccording to The Metro, Tottenham are hoping to add a wide man to their squad in January and scouts have pointed them in the direction of Boetius.

The paper also states that Napoli, CSKA Moscow and Feyenoord’s arch rivals Ajax are interested in the 19 year old, who is regarded as one of the brightest talents in Dutch football.

Boetius made his breakthrough into the Feyenoord first team last season, and impressed many with his confident wing play, and dribbling skills.

After suffering a bad knee injury at the end of last season, Boetius missed the start of the current campaign, but is showing signs of returning to form.

Already a Netherlands U21 international, the winger has netted six times in 28 league appearances for Feyenoord, whilst also contributing three assists.

It is unlikely that Tottenham will be able to convince Feyenoord to part with one of their biggest talents in January, and would have to pay a large fee, with Boetius under contract until 2016.
