According to AD, Feyenoord are close to completing the signing of Heerenveen defender Jerry St Juste.

Reports earlier on Monday claimed that Feyenoord had agreed on personal terms with the 20-year-old but were still in negotiations on a fee with Heerenveen.  AD has now been told by the player’s agent that he expects St Juste to join up with Feyenoord on their training camp in Austria with an agreement between the clubs close.

St Juste, who plays primarily in central defence but can also step into midfield, became Feyenoord’s primary defensive target after they missed out on Derrick Luckassen to PSV. The Netherlands U21 international came through the Heerenveen academy and has made 64 league appearances for the club, scoring three times.

Feyenoord are far from done in the transfer market, with both Ridgeciano Haps and Steven Berghuis expected to follow St Juste to De Kuip. There is also still plenty of speculation on Robin van Persie returning to the club from Fenerbahce.
