Ajax striker Kaj Sierhuis has signed for French Ligue 1 club Stade de Reims on a deal.

The striker was on loan from Ajax to Groningen but after Stade de Reims made an offer, both Dutch clubs agreed to sanction the deal.

The 21-year-old has now signed a multi-year contract in France and becomes a teammate of former Heerenveen winger Arber Zeneli.

The Netherlands U21 international had scored six goals in the Eredivisie this season.

Groningen are hoping to loan Daishawn Redan from Hertha Berlin as a replacement striker.
