Soon to be Feyenoord head coach Jaap Stam believes the club

The former Ajax defender was named as Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s successor earlier this week on a two-year deal which will begin this summer.
Speaking to Voetbal International, Stam said, “The situation of Feyenoord is that it is just as big a club as Ajax and PSV and maybe even bigger.
“The ambitions are also enormous, which is in line with my ambitions and where I want to go. Feyenoord wants to win trophies, and so do I.”
Stam admitted that the club is financially behind their rivals, though, “Maybe the financial aspect is different: Ajax does not know how many million are in the bank and can do what it wants. That situation is not there at the moment at Feyenoord. Everyone knows that too. to get the most out of such a team, the challenge is how we can manage it.”
