On the 25th or 26th of August, AZ Alkmaar are set for a crucial clash in the Champions League second qualifying round.
On Saturday, AZ lost 1-0 in a friendly with Utrecht and were without Calvin Stengs, Myron Boadu and Ron Vlaar.
After the game, head coach Arne Slot stated that he fears Stengs could be out until September. He told Fox Sports, “Calvin is still training inside, so that will certainly be a race against the clock for him. Things look a little better for Boadu and Vlaar. Last week I thought Myron would join this week, but he hasn’t done that yet. He already trains outside, with the physio. Just like Ron. “
