Vreven stated that he feels that relegation would be a disaster as NAC Breda prepare to kick off the season with an away match at Vitesse Arnhem.

Vreven said. ”We want to give everything we have got in the Eredivisie this season and we do not want to sell ourselves short.

”In the Jupiler League last season we played some games where we were not at our best and the damage was limited but in the Eredivisie we must be at our best every week.

”We have a difficult start away at Vitesse Arnhem and then at home to PSV Eindhoven it will be tough but we have trained really hard during pre season.

”Maybe we will finish 13th with the feeling that we could have achieved more or maybe we should just be pleased if we do manage to stay up. It is difficult to predict.

”Relegation would be a disaster.”
