The Netherlands international, who started his career with Feyenoord, spent last season on loan in England, playing 35 times in the league and scoring once as Stoke secured a mid-table finish.
While Fiorentina made a late inquiry into the defender, the Potters always remained confident of securing his signature. When announcing the transfer Stoke chief executive Tony Scholes stated that: “Bruno loved being with us last season and made no secret of his desire to move here permanently when his loan spell came to an end”.
The 25 year old has been capped 34 times for the Netherlands and has made over 200 senior appearances at club level.
