Strootman tore a ligament during the match against Parma back in early April, which has ruled him out ever since, and caused the midfielder to miss last summer’s World Cup.
However the former PSV and Utrecht star returned to the training ground today to take part in light training exercises with his colleagues, but is still not ready to take full part in the sessions.
Roma coach Rudi Garcia said two weeks ago that he expects Strootman to be back playing in time for the Champions League tie against Manchester City on December 10th.
