It was reported by the Italian media this morning that the Dutchman had suffered a setback in his battle back from a serious knee injury, and would be out until mid-October.
However Strootman took to Twitter to slam the “ridiculous rumours” and claimed he was still on course for a scheduled return from the injury.
After a good week of training in Pinzolo, my teammates and I are now in Australia working hard to prepare for the upcoming season.

Strootman only made seven appearances for Roma last season, and will hope to be fit for the start of the Serie A season to come into contention for Netherlands crucial Euro qualifiers in September.
