After four years in Eindhoven, Georginio Wijnaldum is widely expected to follow Memphis Depay out of PSV this summer as he seeks a new challenge. Wijnaldum has a contract at PSV until 2018 and the club have placed a €20 million price tag on his head, but that hasn’t stopped a number of clubs lining up to sign the midfielder.
Russian side Zenit st Petersburg had a bid of €10 million rejected last week, and De Telegraaf believe that Premier League club Sunderland will also soon table an offer with coach Dick Advocaat a big fan of the Dutch international.
Sunderland’s rivals Newcastle United are another seriously interested party, along with French sides Monaco and Marseille.
