Swansea City are lining up Utrecht goalkeeper Robbin Ruiter as a possible replacement for current no1 Michael Vorm.

ruiter aVorm moved to Swansea from Utrecht and has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the English Premier League, helping his side to the League cup last season.

The 30 year old’s form has not gone unnoticed with Barcelona and Arsenal linked with a January move for the Dutch international, who has earned 14 caps for his national team.

Swansea have reportedly drawn a shortlist of potential replacements should Vorm leave, and high on that list is current Utrecht number one Ruiter.

The 6ft 5in stopper is in his second season with Utrecht since joining from Volendam in 2012, and has impressed with a number of great performances.

Last season, Ruiter was one of the main reason’s Utrecht finished 5th in the table, and qualified for Europe, with the 26 year old keeping 10 clean sheets, whilst only conceding 35 times in 33 matches.

Ruiter has yet to be capped by Netherlands national side, and is valued at around €1.5 million should Swansea follow up their interest.
