Nicolas Tagliafico’s agent Ricardo Schlieper has revealed that the left-back has rejected a new deal from Ajax and a departure this summer looks likely.

On Thursday, Ajax confirmed that Andre Onana had signed a new deal at the club and they had hoped Nicolas Tagliafico would follow suit.
However, his agent Ricardo Schlieper has told Muy Independiente, “Ajax was prepared to match what other clubs would want to pay Tagliafico but we did not accept the proposal because this is the right time to take a step. We will see what will happen on the market.”
Ajax signed Tagliafico for €4.5 million from Independiente in January 2018 and the 26-year-old has since become a clear fan favourite.
However, a departure now seems likely with Arsenal and Atletico Madrid just two of the clubs circling the full-back.
